Newsletter for Industry Partners
DFR Industry News is distributed monthly to professionals in banking, captive insurance, insurance, securities and other related industries. It provides updates on Department regulations, orders, bulletins and its operations, as well as announcements about changes in financial and other related regulations along with industry news. Speakers Bureau
The DFR Speakers Bureau helps further the DFR mission to educate the public about its role as a state fiscal agency responsible for ensuring market efficiency and integrity, consumer and investor protections, capital formation or access to credit, as well as illicit activity prevention, financial stability and consumer financial education. Request a speaker, presentation for your civic group, retiree organization, local Chamber of Commerce, school, youth group, industry and trade association, state agency or elsewhere. Department staff travel throughout the State appearing virtually or in-person.

Public Records
The official custodian of DFR records is Victoria Hudson. Contact the Records Officer by USPS mail, email (dfr.pubinfo@vermont.gov) or phone (802-828-4872).
The department's records officer serves as the initial point of contact for individuals making public records requests. The department is obligated to follow the Vermont Public Records Act and to provide access to public records for inspection and copying unless the records are exempt by law from public access. The procedure for requesting a public record is set forth in 1 VSA §318. There may be a fee for records, in some instances, in accordance with 1 VSA §316. The Records Officer will communicate and coordinate with the requestor on all aspects of the public record request.
