The Department of Financial Regulation assists consumers in understanding their options in the industries of banking, insurance and securities by providing information and education. The Department also investigates complaints filed by citizens against insurance, securities, and banking companies, as well as credit unions, mortgage brokers and consumer finance products. Department staff respond promptly and completely to questions and complaints and assist consumers in resolving those complaints when possible.
